New Delhi, July 3, 2026: The Northern Regional Office (NRO) of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has uncovered a major food fraud operation in South-West Delhi involving fraudulent re-labelling of food products and substandard storage practices. In a major enforcement action, authorities seized over 50,000 compromised food packs and registered an FIR against the Food Business Operator (FBO).

The raid was conducted at the premises of M/s Westend Corporation Pvt. Ltd., located in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-II, Bijwasan, South-West Delhi, following intelligence inputs regarding suspicious activities related to food product tampering.

During the inspection, Central Food Safety Officers (CFSOs) found unauthorized storage of both food and non-food items belonging to multiple brands. The products were allegedly being manipulated and re-labelled before being introduced into the market.

Authorities also recovered materials used in the illegal operation, including:

  • Stamps and labelling tools

These items were reportedly used to alter packaging and counterfeit product labels.
